Aging in place
Also known as: Ageing in place
The ability to live in one's own home and community safely, independently, and comfortably regardless of age, income, or ability level. AI-assisted aging-in-place technologies include monitoring systems, fall detection, and health tracking, but raise complex accessibility and explainability challenges because multiple stakeholders with different cognitive abilities, technical aptitudes, and information needs interact with the same system over time.
