The systematic process of creating educational or instructional materials and experiences that facilitate effective learning and task completion. In accessibility, instructional design principles ensure that tutorials, product manuals, help documentation, and learning materials accommodate diverse cognitive abilities, sensory capabilities, and prior knowledge levels, making information usable by the widest possible audience including older adults and people with disabilities.
