NASA-TLX

Also known as: NASA Task Load Index, Task Load Index, NASA TLX, Raw-TLX, Raw TLX, RTLX

A widely used subjective workload assessment tool developed by NASA that measures perceived workload across six dimensions: mental demand, physical demand, temporal demand, performance, effort, and frustration. In accessibility research, NASA-TLX is frequently used to evaluate whether assistive technologies reduce the cognitive and physical effort required to complete tasks. Lower TLX scores indicate reduced workload, suggesting that an accessibility intervention is making tasks easier and less demanding for users with disabilities.
