Chronic Pain

Persistent pain lasting longer than three months that may arise from an initial injury, ongoing illness, or without a clear physical cause. Chronic pain is a common experience among people with disabilities including Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, fibromyalgia, and neuropathies. It can significantly impact daily functioning, work capacity, and quality of life. Assistive technology that reduces physical strain during everyday tasks can help manage chronic pain by minimizing movements that trigger or exacerbate symptoms.
