Text Correction

Also known as: Text Editing, Error Correction

The process of identifying and fixing errors in text, including substituting incorrect words, inserting missing content, and deleting extraneous characters or words. For blind users, text correction on mobile devices is significantly more challenging than text entry, as it requires navigating to the error location, understanding the surrounding context without visual cues, and performing precise editing operations. Research shows that traditional screen reader text correction can take up to three times longer than alternative multimodal approaches.
