Neurodevelopmental Disorder
Also known as: NDD
A group of conditions that arise during the developmental period and are characterized by developmental deficits that produce impairments in personal, social, academic, or occupational functioning. Neurodevelopmental disorders include ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, and communication disorders. These conditions often co-occur and create overlapping accessibility needs in digital environments, requiring design approaches that address attention, sensory processing, cognitive load, and executive function challenges.
