Digital Ruler
Also known as: Reading Ruler, Line Guide
A digital tool that constrains the visible area of text to specific lines or paragraphs, reducing visual crowding and helping readers maintain focus on the current reading position. Digital rulers are analogous to physical reading rulers or overlays used by people with dyslexia. Research has shown benefits of digital rulers in reducing crowding in the visual field and supporting reading focus, particularly for people with dyslexia who experience visual stress or difficulty tracking across lines of text. Digital rulers have been designed to be inclusive for both dyslexic and non-dyslexic readers.
