School Management Resistance
Also known as: Administrative Resistance
Opposition or skepticism from school leadership and administration toward the integration of technology in educational settings. In schools for the blind in India, management resistance manifests as policies restricting mobile phone use, interpreting technology use as laziness rather than pedagogy, and requiring special permissions for activities like showing YouTube videos. Teachers report that using technology in class is perceived as "not teaching," creating a stigmatizing environment that discourages innovation. This resistance represents one of the most significant barriers to GenAI and digital technology adoption, as even fully accessible tools cannot be used if institutional culture prohibits their deployment.
