Tactile Marker
Also known as: Tactile Anchor, Physical Anchor
Physical objects such as coasters, placemats, or textured stickers placed in the environment to provide tactile reference points that help bridge virtual and physical interactions. In AR-based low-vision training, tactile markers attached to virtual objects can ground digital content in the physical world, making gesture-based interactions more accessible for users with depth perception challenges or difficulty maintaining virtual objects within the headset's field of view. They help users develop spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination in familiar, tangible ways.
