Voice Control

Also known as: Voice Command, Voice-Activated Control

The ability to operate devices, applications, or systems using spoken commands. Voice control is a key accessibility feature in smart home technology, enabling people with mobility impairments, visual disabilities, or dexterity limitations to independently control their environment. However, voice control systems can present barriers for users with speech differences, non-standard accents, or conditions affecting voice production, and they may not provide adequate audio feedback for users who rely entirely on non-visual interaction.
