Colour Palette Generation
Also known as: Color Palette Generation, Accessible Palette Generation
The automated or semi-automated creation of sets of colours that are distinguishable by people with different types of colour vision deficiency while meeting aesthetic and functional design requirements. Despite its importance, colour palette generation is an underrepresented feature in CVD accessibility tools, with only about 13% of design tools in the research literature offering this capability. Approaches range from fully automated palette optimization using genetic algorithms to guided interactive tools like Adobe's accessible colour picker that help designers make informed choices.
