Bespoke Accessibility

Also known as: Personalised Accessibility, Individualized Access

An approach to accessibility that recognises each person's access needs are unique and may conflict with those of others, requiring individually tailored rather than one-size-fits-all solutions. Bespoke accessibility goes beyond standard guidelines by acknowledging that what makes content accessible for one disabled person may actively create barriers for another—for example, high contrast helping some users while causing pain for others. This approach advocates for customisable tools and systems that let individuals adjust their experience to match their specific needs in the moment.
