ICT Accessibility
Also known as: Information and Communication Technology Accessibility
The design and development of information and communication technology products and services so they can be used by people with the widest range of abilities, including those with visual, hearing, motor, and cognitive disabilities. ICT accessibility encompasses hardware, software, websites, mobile applications, documents, and multimedia content. It is governed by standards such as EN 301 549 (the European standard for ICT accessibility), WCAG for web content, and ATAG for authoring tools. Ensuring ICT accessibility in the workplace is increasingly recognized as essential for inclusive employment.
