Instance Segmentation
A computer vision technique that identifies and delineates individual objects within an image at the pixel level, distinguishing separate instances even when they belong to the same category. In accessibility contexts, instance segmentation enables assistive tools to provide detailed spatial descriptions of images to blind and low-vision users, supporting touch-based exploration interfaces where each detected object can be individually identified and described.
