Digital Literacy

Also known as: Digital Skills, Computer Literacy, ICT Literacy

The ability to find, evaluate, create, and communicate information using digital technologies. Digital literacy extends beyond basic technical skills to include understanding how to use technology safely and effectively, critically evaluating online information, managing privacy settings, and adapting to new tools and interfaces. For accessibility, digital literacy is a key factor in whether people with disabilities and older adults can benefit from assistive technologies and online services — without adequate digital literacy support, even well-designed accessible tools may go unused.
