Community of Practice
Also known as: CoP
A group of people who share a common interest or concern and learn together through regular interaction, sharing knowledge, and collaborative problem-solving. In technology adoption contexts, communities of practice form organically when groups such as older adults in residential communities help each other learn new tools — troubleshooting issues together, sharing tips, and building collective confidence. This peer-learning model can be more effective than formal training because it is embedded in trusted relationships and addresses real problems as they arise.
