Conductive Ink

Also known as: Conductive Paint, Electrically Conductive Ink

An ink or paint formulated with electrically conductive materials such as silver, carbon, or graphene that can carry an electrical signal when applied to a surface. In accessibility applications, conductive ink is used to create touch-sensitive areas on physical objects like tactile maps and 3D-printed models, enabling interactive features such as audio feedback triggered by touch. This technology allows the creation of low-cost interactive tactile displays without complex electronics, making it a practical tool for producing accessible maps, educational materials, and museum exhibits for blind and low-vision users.
