Private Visual Content
Also known as: PVC, Visual Privacy
Private visual content (PVC) refers to visual information in images or videos that the person depicted or sharing the content considers private and would not want publicly disclosed. For people who are blind using visual interpreter services, PVC is a particular concern because they may unknowingly share images containing sensitive information such as financial documents, medical records, identification details, or images of their body when using camera-based assistive technologies. PVC types include financial information, medical data, images of people (faces, bodies), location and address information, identification documents, and computer screen content with login credentials.
