Caption highlighting is particularly valuable in educational videos where DHH users must divide their visual attention between captions, the instructor, slides, and other visual elements simultaneously. Automatic word-importance prediction systems can identify which words to highlight, potentially enabling scalable deployment in online educational platforms.
