Sentiment Analysis
Also known as: Opinion Mining
A natural language processing technique that identifies and extracts subjective information from text, classifying it as positive, negative, or neutral. In accessibility research, sentiment analysis can be applied to social media posts, product reviews, and online discussions to understand how people with disabilities feel about assistive technologies, digital products, and accessibility features. By analyzing large-scale sentiment patterns, researchers and designers can identify pain points, unmet needs, and factors that contribute to technology adoption or abandonment, supplementing traditional qualitative research methods.
