WCAG Conformance Levels

Also known as: WCAG Levels, Level A, Level AA, Level AAA, Conformance Levels

WCAG defines three levels of conformance that indicate the degree to which web content meets accessibility requirements. Level A is the minimum, addressing the most critical barriers that would completely prevent some users from accessing content. Level AA is the target for most legal and policy requirements, covering a broader range of accessibility issues. Level AAA is the highest level, providing the most comprehensive accessibility but may not be achievable for all content types. Each success criterion in WCAG is assigned one of these levels based on its impact on users and feasibility of implementation.
