Natural Language Generation
Also known as: NLG, Text Generation
A subfield of artificial intelligence and computational linguistics focused on automatically producing human-readable text from structured data or other non-linguistic representations. In accessibility, natural language generation is used to create textual descriptions of visual content such as charts, graphs, images, and interface elements, enabling screen reader users to access information that would otherwise be available only visually. NLG systems go beyond simple template filling by selecting relevant content, organizing it coherently, and producing fluent natural language output.
