Learning Design
Also known as: IMS Learning Design, IMS LD
A specification from IMS Global Learning Consortium (based on the Educational Modeling Language) that provides a framework for describing the structure and sequence of learning activities, roles, and environments in educational scenarios. Learning Design enables the separation of pedagogical approaches from content, allowing the same learning resources to be used in different instructional contexts. For accessibility, this separation is important because it allows learning scenarios to be adapted for diverse learner needs without requiring the creation of entirely new content, supporting inclusive education by letting systems tailor the learning process while drawing from a shared pool of resources.
