Accessibility-supported
Also known as: Accessibility supported technology
A WCAG 2.0 concept describing a web technology that has sufficient support from user agents (browsers) and assistive technologies to reliably convey accessibility information to users with disabilities. For a technology to be considered accessibility-supported, it must contain the features necessary for accessibility and those features must be implemented by the browsers and assistive technologies that users actually rely on. The determination of what is accessibility-supported depends on context — a technology may be accessibility-supported on a corporate intranet with standardized browsers but not on the open web where users have diverse configurations.
