UAProf

A specification from the Open Mobile Alliance that extends the CC/PP (Composite Capability/Preference Profiles) framework to describe mobile device capabilities in a standardized RDF-based format. UAProf profiles contain information about a device's hardware platform, software platform, and browser capabilities such as screen size, supported image formats, JavaScript support, and table rendering. Manufacturers create UAProf profiles for their devices, enabling web servers and evaluation tools to tailor content delivery and accessibility testing to specific device characteristics. UAProf became a de facto industry standard for mobile device description.
