mobileOK

Also known as: mobileOK Basic Tests, W3C mobileOK

A set of machine-automatable tests published by the W3C to verify conformance with Mobile Web Best Practices 1.0. The mobileOK Basic Tests define a subset of best practices that can be unambiguously evaluated by automated tools, checking for issues such as unsupported image formats, improper character encoding, use of frames, scripts, pop-ups, and tables that may not render correctly on mobile devices. Tests are evaluated against the Default Delivery Context, a baseline device profile, though this approach can produce false positives and false negatives for devices whose capabilities differ from that baseline. MobileOK Basic represents the less demanding of two planned conformance levels, with mobileOK Pro intended for richer user experiences.
