Mashup

Also known as: Web mashup

A web application or page that combines data, functionality, or presentation from two or more external sources to create a new service. Mashups use APIs or data feeds to seamlessly blend content from different sites, often without clear demarcation between sources. In accessibility contexts, mashups have been used both positively — to create accessible alternative interfaces to inaccessible websites — and problematically, when the blended content lacks coherent accessibility structure.
