User Modelling
Also known as: User Modeling, User Profiling
The process of creating and maintaining a digital representation of a user's characteristics, preferences, needs, and behaviours to personalise their interaction with a system. In accessibility contexts, user modelling captures information about a person's disabilities, assistive technology use, and interface preferences to adapt content, navigation, and interaction patterns accordingly. Advanced user models can update dynamically based on observed behaviour, accounting for the fact that users' abilities and needs may change over time or vary by context.
