Content Filtering

Also known as: Content Adaptation, Adaptive Content Delivery

The process of selectively displaying or hiding portions of digital content based on user preferences, roles, device capabilities, or accessibility needs. In an accessibility context, content filtering allows users to control the level of detail they receive, reducing information overload and improving usability for people using assistive technologies, mobile devices, or those with cognitive disabilities. Effective content filtering maintains context and meaning even when content is reduced, ensuring that essential information is never lost through the filtering process.
