Cataracts
Also known as: Cataract
A clouding of the eye's natural lens that causes blurry or hazy vision and increased sensitivity to glare. Cataracts are the leading cause of vision impairment worldwide and become increasingly common with age. People with cataracts may experience difficulty reading, reduced color perception, and problems seeing in low light or bright conditions. Digital accessibility accommodations include adjustable font sizes, high contrast modes, anti-glare screen settings, and screen magnification. While cataracts can often be treated surgically, many people live with some degree of cataract-related vision impairment.
