Neurotype
A classification of minds based on patterns of neurological functioning. The term encompasses both neurotypical (conforming to dominant neurological norms) and neurodivergent (diverging from those norms, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other neurological variations). Neurotype framing avoids deficit-based language by treating neurological differences as natural human variation rather than disorders to be corrected. Accessibility design should support multiple neurotypes rather than assuming a single "normal" cognitive profile.
