Biosensor
Also known as: Physiological Sensor, Biometric Sensor
A device that detects and measures biological or physiological signals from the body, such as heart rate, skin conductance, temperature, or movement. Wearable biosensors are increasingly used in accessibility applications to monitor the physiological states of individuals who may have difficulty self-reporting, including detecting stress, seizures, or emotional arousal in people with developmental disabilities. Common form factors include wristbands, ankle straps, and smart watches.
