SLPAT
Also known as: Speech and Language Processing for Assistive Technologies
A special interest group jointly supported by the Association for Computational Linguistics (ACL) and the International Speech Communication Association (ISCA), focused on speech and language technology for assistive applications. SLPAT brings together researchers from engineering, clinical sciences, and assistive technology to advance automatic speech recognition for disordered speech, augmentative communication systems, and speech-based accessibility tools. The group organizes workshops that bridge computational linguistics and disability-focused research.
