Spastic Diplegia
Also known as: Diplegic Cerebral Palsy
A form of cerebral palsy characterised by muscle stiffness (spasticity) that primarily affects the lower limbs, though the upper limbs may also be mildly affected. It is one of the most common types of cerebral palsy. People with spastic diplegia may walk independently, use assistive devices such as walkers or crutches, or use wheelchairs depending on severity. The condition can impact fine and gross motor function, affecting interactions with digital devices and physical environments.
