Multilingual Web

Also known as: Multilingual Website, Multi-language Web

Web content that is available in more than one language, typically through localization of an original website into additional language versions. Multilingual websites present unique accessibility challenges because the localization process can introduce or remove accessibility features — for example, changes to page structure, text directionality for right-to-left languages, proper language attributes on HTML elements, and culturally adapted content all affect how well assistive technologies can interpret and present the content to users.
