ActionScript
A programming language used within Adobe Flash to create interactive content, animations, and web applications. ActionScript code was compiled into bytecode embedded in SWF files and executed by the Flash Player virtual machine. Because ActionScript ran inside the closed Flash Player environment, its output was largely inaccessible to assistive technologies unless developers explicitly used Flash's limited accessibility features. ActionScript is now obsolete following the discontinuation of Adobe Flash Player in 2020.
