Lecture Capture
Also known as: Lecture Recording, Classroom Recording
The process of recording classroom lectures, presentations, or educational sessions using video, audio, and screen capture technology for later review by students. Lecture capture systems range from simple single-camera recordings to multi-camera setups that capture the instructor, slides, whiteboard, and audience simultaneously. For deaf and hard of hearing students, accessible lecture capture must include sign language interpreters, real-time captions, and multiple visual information sources presented in ways that reduce visual dispersion. Lecture capture can also benefit students with other disabilities by allowing them to review material at their own pace, pause and rewind, and access content asynchronously.
