Dialogue of Care
Also known as: Care Dialogue, Care Communication
The ongoing exchange of information, observations, and concerns between a person receiving care and their carers — whether professional, familial, or informal. In assistive technology and telecare contexts, the dialogue of care refers to the shared understanding that develops when both parties have access to meaningful data about the care recipient's well-being, enabling more informed and collaborative decision-making. Technology can support this dialogue by presenting health and activity data in accessible formats that both the older person or disabled individual and their carer can interpret together, shifting the dynamic from passive monitoring to active shared engagement in care planning.
