Video Conferencing
Also known as: Videoconferencing, Video Teleconferencing, Video Call
Real-time visual and audio communication between two or more people at different locations using video cameras, displays, and network connections. Video conferencing has significant accessibility implications: for Deaf and hard-of-hearing sign language users, it must provide sufficient frame rate (at least 10-12 fps) and image quality in the hand and face regions to support intelligible signing. For blind users, audio quality and screen reader compatibility of the conferencing interface are essential. Accessible video conferencing platforms should also support real-time captioning, sign language interpreters, and keyboard-only navigation of controls.
