Target Highlight Time
Also known as: THT
A performance measure used in human-computer interaction research that captures the time elapsed between when a user positions a pointer over a target and when they initiate an action on that target, such as clicking or dragging. THT reflects how quickly a user can recognize and interpret feedback from the interface, making it a useful metric for evaluating the effectiveness of different feedback modalities. Shorter target highlight times indicate that the feedback successfully conveyed meaning to the user more rapidly.
