Simple Reaction Time

Also known as: SRT, Reaction Time Test

A psychometric measure of the time it takes a person to respond to a single stimulus, such as pressing a button when a light appears. Simple Reaction Time is used in accessibility and usability research to assess motor performance speed, which can affect how well a user interacts with input devices and computer interfaces. Research has shown SRT to be a good predictor of input device performance, particularly among older adults.
