Dual Channel Audio
Also known as: Dual Audio Channel, Two-Channel Audio
An audio configuration that provides two independent, simultaneous audio streams to a user, typically through separate channels in a headset. In assistive technology, dual channel audio is important for vision impaired users in call centre environments who need to hear screen reader output on one channel while conducting telephone conversations with clients on the other. The channels must be independent and free of inter-channel interference to ensure both streams remain intelligible.
