Design-Based Research
Also known as: DBR
A collaborative, iterative research methodology used in education and human-computer interaction that develops theory and refines interventions through cycles of design, implementation, evaluation, and redesign in authentic real-world settings. DBR involves practitioners and researchers working together to address practical problems while generating transferable design principles. In accessibility education, DBR is often used to evolve training tools, curricula, and assessments over multiple deployments informed by learner feedback and observed outcomes.
