Digital Twin
A digital twin is a virtual replica of a physical object, space, or system that is updated in real time to mirror its real-world counterpart. In accessibility contexts, digital twins of physical environments can enable remote exploration and interaction with spaces — allowing people who cannot physically access a location to navigate and engage with a virtual representation. Digital twins are used in rehabilitation, urban planning, and assistive technology design to simulate and test accessibility features before physical implementation.
