RACI Matrix

A project-management tool that maps tasks to stakeholders using four roles: Responsible (does the work), Accountable (owns the outcome), Consulted (provides input), and Informed (kept in the loop). Accessibility teams use RACI matrices to clarify who within a cross-functional team — designers, developers, QA, product managers, audio engineers — owns each a11y feature and at which development phase (design, early dev, mid-dev, post-launch) it should be implemented. Clear RACI assignments help prevent a11y work from being deprioritised or orphaned.
