Figma

Figma is a browser-based collaborative design tool widely used for UI/UX design, prototyping, and design-system management. Its real-time multi-user editing, component libraries, and developer-handoff features have made it a de-facto standard in product design. Figma's accessibility has improved over time — keyboard navigation, improved screen reader support, and accessibility plug-ins — but layout work in Figma remains fundamentally visual: positioning, alignment, spacing, and hierarchy are perceived by sight. This limits its usability for blind designers and has motivated research on alternative tangible and multimodal authoring tools for accessible web and UI design.
