Educational Video
Also known as: Instructional Video, Video Lecture
Video content created to teach - including talking-head lectures, screencasts, animations, hand-drawn (Khan-style) explanations, recorded classroom sessions, programming/coding demonstrations, interviews, and slide-based presentations. Accessibility of educational video depends on more than captions: visual pacing, caption placement, relevance of on-screen graphics, and alignment between what the narrator says and what is shown all affect whether learners - particularly d/Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing learners processing information through a single visual channel - can understand and retain the material.
