ARASAAC
Also known as: Aragonese Portal of Augmentative and Alternative Communication
A publicly funded open pictogram library maintained by the Government of Aragon, Spain, providing nearly 12,000 colour and black-and-white pictograms licensed under Creative Commons (BY-NC-SA). ARASAAC symbols are widely used worldwide in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), Easy Read publications, educational materials, and signage, and the project's website offers an API to customise pictograms by background, skin tone, hair colour, and other attributes. For accessibility practitioners, ARASAAC is a practical starting point when a project needs symbol-supported content without the cost or restrictions of proprietary symbol sets.
