Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale
Also known as: ASRS, ASRS-v1.1, Adult ADHD Self-Rating Scale
A short self-report screening instrument for adult Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder developed by the World Health Organization in collaboration with researchers from Harvard Medical School. The most widely used version, ASRS-v1.1, is an 18-item questionnaire whose first six items form a high-sensitivity Part A screener; respondents rate how often each symptom has occurred over the past six months on a five-point scale. ASRS is not a diagnostic tool - a positive screen indicates that further clinical evaluation is warranted - but it is widely used in HCI and accessibility research to characterize participants' ADHD status when studying reading, attention, interface design, and assistive tools. The Attention Deficit Disorder Association (ADDA) hosts a public version.
