Employee Onboarding Accessibility

Also known as: Accessible Onboarding, Inclusive Onboarding

The practice of ensuring that the employee onboarding process — including signing contracts, completing HR forms, accessing web portals, and orientation activities — is fully accessible to people with disabilities. Inaccessible onboarding systems frequently use mouse-dependent e-signatures, unlabelled form fields, and non-magnifiable documents, creating barriers for new hires who use screen readers or magnification software. Accessible onboarding is critical because it occurs after a candidate has already been selected, meaning organizations lose qualified talent at the final stage due to preventable technical barriers.
